Mobility Difficulties FAQ
-
How do I stay positive when I’m struggling like this? This is one of the trickiest questions to answer as no two people are the same. We do have common ground though as we all should put more focus into what we can do instead of constantly highlighting what we can’t. I like to help the individual learn how to take control and make pain and struggles live with them instead of them living with pain and struggles. Finding a distraction that makes you feel good we like to help with.
-
Who do I speak to for help with mobility aids? The best way is through an Occupational Therapist either a referral from your G.P or you can ask for an assessment from your council O.T.
-
How do I go about looking for a Personal Assistant? You would go through your local council or if you already receive home care the adult social Carer would re assess you.
-
How do I get a referral?Speak with your G.P. Who will refer you. Some referrals you can do yourself.
-
Can I join BESPOKE even though I can walk?YES everyone is welcome and all forms of mobility issues are welcome.
